O Solar Garden Portugal é um pequeno projeto agrícola localizado em Quiaios, Portugal.

O objetivo é simples: realizar o cultivo de produtos agrícolas utilizando exclusivamente energia solar e equipamentos alimentados por baterias.

A área total do terreno é de 4.000 m². O projeto utiliza atualmente cerca de 200 m² para cultivo produtivo e foi concebido para crescer de forma modular.

O Solar Garden Portugal é documentado ao longo de toda a sua fase de desenvolvimento. O projeto é registado e divulgado em vários formatos:

O objetivo é oferecer uma visão transparente da implementação prática de uma agricultura de pequena escala livre de combustíveis fósseis em condições reais de campo. O projeto não se entende como mera demonstração – pretende genuinamente produzir e gerar rendimento: os produtos são comercializados e devem proporcionar aos seus responsáveis um rendimento real. Porque as alternativas reais à agricultura industrial têm de ser também economicamente viáveis. O foco incide em produtos de alta qualidade; o início é feito com alho elefante. O cultivo segue rigorosamente os princípios da permacultura – em harmonia com o solo, as estações do ano e o ecossistema.

Após a fase inicial de desenvolvimento, poderão ser oferecidas visitas guiadas ao local para pessoas interessadas e pequenos grupos. Estas visitas permitirão o contacto direto com a instalação técnica, os métodos de cultivo e o fluxo operacional.

Das Ziel ist einfach: den Anbau von Kulturpflanzen ausschließlich mit Solarenergie und batteriebetriebenen Geräten durchführen.

Die Gesamtfläche des Grundstücks beträgt 4.000 m². Derzeit werden etwa 200 m² produktiv für den Anbau genutzt. Das Projekt ist modular aufgebaut und für schrittweise Erweiterung ausgelegt.

Solar Garden Portugal wird während der gesamten Entwicklungsphase dokumentiert. Das Projekt wird in verschiedenen Formaten festgehalten und veröffentlicht:

Ziel ist es, einen transparenten Einblick in die praktische Umsetzung einer fossilfreien kleinmaßstäblichen Landwirtschaft unter realen Feldbedingungen zu geben. Das Projekt versteht sich dabei nicht als reine Demonstration – es soll wirklich wirtschaften: Die erzeugten Produkte werden vermarktet und sollen den Betreibern ein reales Einkommen ermöglichen. Denn echte Alternativen zur industriellen Landwirtschaft müssen auch wirtschaftlich tragfähig sein. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf hochwertigen Spezialprodukten; gestartet wird mit Elefantenknoblauch. Angebaut wird konsequent nach den Prinzipien der Permakultur – im Einklang mit dem Boden, den Jahreszeiten und dem Ökosystem.

Nach Abschluss der initialen Entwicklungsphase sollen – voraussichtlich – geführte Besichtigungen vor Ort für interessierte Einzelpersonen und kleine Gruppen angeboten werden. Bei diesen Besuchen kann man die technische Ausstattung, die Anbaumethoden und den Arbeitsablauf direkt kennenlernen.

The goal is to offer a transparent insight into the practical implementation of fossil-free small-scale farming under real field conditions. The project does not see itself as a mere demonstration – it aims to genuinely farm and generate income: the products are sold commercially and are intended to provide the operators with a real livelihood. Because true alternatives to industrial agriculture must also be economically viable. The focus is on high-quality speciality products; starting with elephant garlic. All cultivation follows strictly the principles of permaculture – in harmony with the soil, the seasons and the ecosystem."

After the initial development phase, guided on-site visits may be offered for interested individuals and small groups. These visits will provide direct access to the technical setup, cultivation methods, and operational workflow.
